Pendulum rod
A pendulum rod describes a movably suspended rod . This is z. B. lighting technology for suspension of lights on the ceiling (in Austria: Pendenstange . Lat pendere hang) or in the watch-making with clocks used.

It usually consists of a tube made of brass or similar, with ⅛ inch external threads at both ends. A suspension is screwed to the upper thread, which can be hooked into the chandelier hook. The lower end is attached to the lamp, it also fits directly into the internal thread of most lamp sockets . A rosette can be moved on the pipe , with which the electrical connections and the suspension on the ceiling can be covered.
Luminaires are often suspended directly from the cable, which in the case of heavier lighting fixtures also contains a suspension cable .
Pendulum clocks
Pendulum clocks use a physical pendulum as a regulator . A physical pendulum consists of a suspension, a pendulum rod and a lens. With pendulum clocks, the pendulum rod is used to attach the pendulum lens to the pendulum suspension , e.g. B. on a thread , an agate blade , a pendulum spring or a wire loop .
