Penninghen
Penninghen (French: Penninghen - l'école de direction artistique et d'architecture intérieure) is a French art school for art direction and interior design based in Paris . It is a private university accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and Research.
The university is located in the 6th arrondissement in the former premises of the renowned Académie Julian in Quartier Saint-Germain-des-Prés . The address is Rue du Dragon 31, 75006 Paris.
The college has about 600 students and 100 teachers.
history
In 1953 the painter and ceramist Guillaume Met de Penninghen and Jacques d'Andon set up a studio in Rue Falguière to prepare for the major French art schools and in 1959 they joined the Académie Julian . In 1968 the Penninghen & d'Andon studio became the École supérieure d'arts graphiques (ESAG) , and in 2016 it was given its current name Penninghen - l'école de direction artistique et d'architecture intérieure, under the new director Gilles Poplin .
