Pentagon Channel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pentagon Channel is a state television station of the United States . Founded in 2004, it broadcasts a full-time program for the 2.6 million members of the US Army .

Pentagon Channel is the only AFN broadcaster that is available to the general public (via satellite ) in the United States . Feeding into the civil cable network is legally problematic, since state-financed domestic propaganda has been banned in the USA since 1948.

Jamie McIntyre, the Pentagon correspondent for CNN , calls the Pentagon Channel the "first American government broadcaster".
