Péter Bozsik

Péter Bozsik (born October 30, 1961 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football coach . He is a son of footballer József Bozsik , who was part of Hungary's Golden Elf in the 1950s.

In his time as an active footballer, Bozsik worked exclusively for the lower class Pénzügyőr SE , where he then also exercised the office of coach. From 2000 he was active as a club coach at Vasas SC , Zalaegerszegi TE and Haladás Szombathely . The team from Zalaegerszeg, which he headed from 2001 to 2003, he led to the greatest success in the club's history, the Hungarian championship of 2002.

From March to October 2006 he was the successor to Lothar Matthäus as coach of the Hungarian national football team , an office that his father held once in 1974. He was in turn followed by the Hungarian U-19 coach Péter Várhidi . Péter Bozsik's record as national coach is three wins and four defeats in seven games with a goal difference of 10:12.
