People's Choice
People's Choice (also Peoples Choice ) were an American singing group that was formed in 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
history
Founding members were Frank Brunson, David Thompson, Valerie Brown, Marc Reed, Darnell Jordan, Johnnie Hightower, Clifton Gamble, Bill Rodgers and Stanley Thomas.
Under the label of Philadelphia International Records (PIR) and produced by Leon Huff - in this production, however, without co-producer Kenny Gamble - they had two UK top with Do It Any Way You Wanna (1975) and Jam Jam Jam (1978) 40 hits. They released the albums Boogie Down USA (1975), We Got Rhythm (1976) and Turn Me Loose (1978) under the PIR label .
In 1982 the group switched to TPC Records. In 1984 another move to Mercury Records followed.
