Pepe Aguirre
Pepe Aguirre ( José Gastón Aguirre , * in La Serena ; † December 31, 1988 in Medellín ) was a Chilean tango singer.
Aguirre belonged to the group of Porfirio Díaz in Chile . In 1974 he traveled to a tango festival in Colombia, from which he never returned to Chile. He settled in Medellín and became, alongside Oscar Larroca and Armando Moreno , one of the most popular tango singers in Colombia with titles such as Jornalero , Frivolidad , Muneca de Loza , Con todo el Corazón , Bebiendo y Llorando , Maldito Cabaret , Hojas de Calendario , Payaso , Reconciliémonos , La Cita and Dolor de Ausencia . Julio Jamarillo recorded his composition Pena de Muerte for his album Lo Mejor . His daughter Gloria Aguirre also became known as a singer.
