Wig eight shillings
The wig eight shilling (Danish: Parykotteskilling ) is a silver coin with a face value of eight shillings minted under the mint rule of the Danish King Frederik IV at the beginning of the 18th century . The coin was minted very often.
The coin shows on the front ( obverse ), a portrait of Frederik me conspicuous allonge -Perücke. The reverse shows a crown and the value. Often the coins were provided with an eyelet on the back and made into buttons for peasant costumes .
