Perch Island (from English perch ' perch ' ) is an island of the Fish Islands on the north side of Holtedahl Bay off the Graham coast of West Antarctic Graham Land . It is right in front of the Prospect Point .
It was mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 based on the name of the archipelago to which it belongs.
