The Prospect Point ( English for viewpoint ) is the western headland of the Velingrad Peninsula on the Graham Coast in the west of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . The cape is about 3 km south of Ferin Head and immediately east of the Fish Islands .
Participants in the British Grahamland Expedition (1934–1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill carried out a rough mapping. Aerial photographs were taken by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. between 1956 and 1957. British scientists maintained a research station (Station J) near the Cape from February 2, 1957 to February 23, 1959. It was named after Edwin Porter Arrowsmith (1909–1992), Governor of the Falkland Islands from 1957 to 1964.
