The Velingrad Peninsula ( Bulgarian полуостров Велинград , English Velingrad Peninsula ) is a 22.5 km long peninsula at the Graham Coast in the west of the Antarctic Graham Lands . It is bounded by Barilari Bay in the northeast and Holtedahl Bay in the southwest. It is separated from the offshore Biscoe Islands by the Grandidier Canal . The peninsula ends in the west in Ferin Head and 3 km south of it in Prospect Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1971 and 1976. Bulgarian scientists named it on September 14, 2010 after the Bulgarian city of Velingrad .
