The Barilari Bay ( French Baie Barilari ) is a 20 km long and 10 km wide bay on the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between Cape García and Cape Loqui .
It was discovered during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of the polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . He named the bay after Rear Admiral Atilio Sixto Barilari (1857–1928), then Argentine Minister of War, who assisted the research trip. A new mapping was carried out by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill .
