The Weir Glacier is a 13 km long glacier on the Graham Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is one of two glaciers that flow north into the southern section of the Barilari Bay .
The first sighting and a rough mapping go back to participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908-1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1909. Participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill mapped it again. It is named after the British entrepreneur and politician William Douglas Weir, 1st Viscount Weir (1877–1959) and his son James Kenneth Weir, 2nd Viscount Weir (1905–1975), sponsors of the British Graham Land Expedition.
