Glassine

Glassine is a largely grease-proof, but not wet-strength transparent paper made from finely ground cellulose . It gets its high transparency from the very sharp satin finish . It is used, among other things, for window letter envelopes , confectionery , kite paper , X-ray protective bags and negative film sleeves.
