Perishing Mankind was an Austrian melodic death metal band.

Band history

Perishing Mankind was founded in 2001 by Georg Engel (lead guitar), Beate Landl (drums), Gernot Oreski (rhythm guitar) and Paul Gföller (bass). The following year, singer Holger Schantl joined the band.

The label Black Lagoon Records became aware of the group during a band contest in 2005 and produced the first CD Fall of Men . In 2007 the second CD Wonderland was released under the successor label Noise Head Records .

In September 2008 Landl left the band and was replaced by Vid Smolič. After three years of work, the third album "The Heritage" was released again in September 2010 via Noise Head Records. In 2012 the band officially broke up. However, she continues to perform live and hold book signing sessions.
