Perley Island is a crescent-shaped island in the Canadian territory of Nunavut and is part of the Queen Elizabeth Islands .
It is located in the Arctic Ocean about 4 km north of Meighen Island , from which it is separated by Hose Strait. The maximum height of the flat island is 14 m. It was discovered by the Canadian Arctic Expedition from 1913 to 1918, led by Vilhjálmur Stefánsson .
On Perley Island there is a breeding colony of the rare ivory gull (Pagophila eburnea) .
