Pernice Brothers
Pernice Brothers is an indie rock band formed by Joe Pernice in 1996 after his previous band Scud Mountain Boys quit. Joe's brother Bob Pernice was also there, hence the new band name.
history
In 1998 they released their debut album Overcome by Happiness , which differed significantly from the country sound of the Scud Mountain Boys; her pop rock seemed to have influences from Brian Wilson , The Left Banke and Todd Rundgren .
After a three-year hiatus, during which Joe Pernice released under his own name, the band's second album The World Won't End was released in 2001 . A number of albums followed with good reviews by the end of the decade, including the live album Nobody's Watching / Nobody's Listening from their Jakr tour in 2004.
After almost a decade of other projects, the band released a new album in 2019, Spread the Feeling .
