Pernille Rygg

Pernille A. Rønneberg Rygg (born June 10, 1963 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian writer and translator .

Life

Rygg, daughter of the Norwegian writer and actress Maja Lise Rønneberg , studied history and ethnology at the University of Oslo . She worked for eight years as a set painter for film production companies and for Norwegian radio. In 1995 she made her debut with the detective novel Sommerfugleffekten , which was published in German in 2002 under the title The Butterfly Effect . It has found national and international recognition and has been translated into numerous languages. In 1998 the novel The withdrawal of love about problems, deprivations and love of a lesbian woman followed. In 2000 the crime novel nominated for the Brageprisen was published with the title The Golden Section . As in the first work, the focus is on the protagonist and psychologist Igi Heitmann.

Rygg lives in Oslo and is married to the Norwegian TV presenter Christine Koht .
