Petchtai Wongkamlao ( Thai : เพ็ ชร ทาย วงศ์ คำ เหลา ; born June 24, 1965 in Thailand ) is a Thai actor , stand-up comedian , television presenter and film director . In his homeland, where he appears under the pseudonym Mum Jokmok ( หม่ำ จ๊ ก ม๊ ก ), he enjoys enormous popularity and is a welcome personality on Thailand's national television.

Life

Petchtai started his television career as a comedian in the entertainment industry, before he also took on moderation tasks for Thai television as a multi-layered artist. This was followed by supporting roles in national feature films, some of which were realized on a low budget, but made him popular. In 2001 he was offered his first leading role in the successful action comedy Killer Tattoo , before his breakthrough as an actor in 2003 with the supporting role in Ong-Bak , one of the most successful Thai films of all.

From then on Petchtai Wongkamlao could devote himself to his own projects. Just a year later he made his debut film The Bodyguard as a screenwriter, director and actor , in which he directed for the first time.
