Peter-Paul Manzel

Peter-Paul Manzel (born November 15, 1953 in Bochum ) is a German scientist and book author.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1973, Manzel studied surveying, mathematics, geography and art. He passed the second state examination in these departments and received a doctorate in polar geography. Then Manzel was a lecturer at the University of Erlangen and at the University of Bremen in the field of physical geography . He held courses on statistics for geographers, the Internet and geography, among other things. From 2010 to 2012 he worked at the Colegio Aleman Alexander v. Humboldt in Mexico DF as a teacher. In addition, before his stay in Mexico, he worked as a teacher of mathematics and art at a comprehensive school in Pfungstadt . Since his return from Mexico he has been a teacher at the Gerhart Hauptmann School in Griesheim .

Manzel sees cosmoecology as an attempt to view the earth ecosystem as embedded in space and time, which does not end at the limits of the atmosphere, but has been and is significantly influenced by the sun, moon and other cosmic phenomena such as asteroid impacts. In 2007/08 he held the course: "Genes, Memes and History" as an attempt to place the historical sciences on the foundation of scientific foundations, in particular on the theory of evolution.
