Peter Börgers is a German pool player . He became German champion in men's singles in 1977 .

Career

At the German championship in 1977 , Peter Börgers won the 8-ball cup competition by beating Werner Brücker in the final . Two years later he reached the final again, but lost to Günter Geisen . At the 1980 European Championships , he won the bronze medal in the 8-ball. In 1994 he won the 8-ball competition for seniors at the German championship in the final against Karl Heinz Schmidt . In the same year he became senior European champion in 9-ball with a final win against the Swiss Danny Eichenberger . At the Senior European Championship in 1995, Börgers won bronze in the 9-ball and was 8-ball European champion in the final against the Austrian Leo Täubl . In 1996 he reached third place in the 8-ball at the Senior European Championships. At the German championship in 1997 , Börgers won the bronze medal in the seniors' 8 ball.
