Peter Becker (born August 1946 in Hamburg ) is a German master baker. He has been President of the International Bakers 'Association since October 18, 2008, President of the Central Association of the German Bakers' Trade and was President of the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts from 1999 to 2009 .

Becker has been running his Peter Becker bakery and pastry shop since 1981 .

In 1999 he became President of the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts, in 2000 President of the Central Association of German Bakers and Member of the Presidium of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH). Since 2001 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Haspa Finanzholding Hamburger Sparkasse and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BÄKO Marken- und Service eG. In 2003 he became deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Hamburger Sparkasse AG and chairman of the supervisory board of BÄKO-Zentrale Nord eG. Since 2006 he has been a member of the supervisory board of GHM - Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH. He is a member of the supervisory board of ReGe Hamburg.

In 1996 he received the " Great Portuguese " from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . In 2006 he received the “Craftsman's Mark in Gold” from the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) and the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany from Federal President Horst Köhler for his many years of voluntary work.
