Peter Brockhaus

Peter Brockhaus is a German windsurfing pioneer and entrepreneur in the windsurfing industry.

Peter Brockhaus acquired one of the first windsurfers in Germany in 1972. He was one of the first importers of windsurf boards in Europe. To promote the sport and its business, he organized regatta series and spread surfing instruction. In 1974 he founded the magazine Windsurfing as the first special interest magazine for the new sport. In 1978 Brockhaus sold the magazine to Delius Klasing Verlag , who integrated it into the trade journal surf that had been on the market a year earlier . Ulrich Stanciu , chief editor of surf , had been involved in the design of Brockhaus' windsurfing since 1975 before it was first published .

In 1976 Brockhaus took part in founding the Mistral company . He initiated the World Cups and hired Robby Naish for Mistral. In 1981 he founded the board brand F2 .
