Peter Duncan (born May 3, 1954 in London ) is a British actor and TV presenter. He was best known for his Blue Peter program and later for his family travel programs in the UK.

Duncan studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Theater Arts, an independent drama school in London . Before he got into watching heels, he played on various stages. His first television roles were on The Tomorrow People , Space 1999, King Cinder , Play for Today , Warship , Oranges & Lemons and on the second season of Survivors . He played in 1974 in Stardust by Michael Apted his first major role, and later a small role in Flash Gordon .

Engagement in the British Scout Association

Duncan was named the 9th Chief Scout for The Scout Association in the UK in 2004 . At first there was a controversial discussion about his vocation, since Duncan was "only" a Cub Scout in his childhood (child level or "wolf" in the boy scouts ) and only got back in as an adult. His five-year term as the official Chief Scout in Gilwell began on September 5, 2004 and ended on July 11, 2009. The transfer of office to Bear Grylls took place in the presence of 3,000 Explorer Scouts.
