Peter Ekberg

Peter Ekberg (* 1972 ) is a Swedish writer, educator and philosopher.

Life

Peter Ekberg studied philosophy at the University of Gothenburg. His master's thesis was on "Models of Human Thought". In addition to studying philosophy, he took courses in astronomy, physics, evolutionary biology, neurosciences, the history of science and human ecology at the same university. After graduating, he works as a philosophy teacher at a senior high school in central Gothenburg . Ekberg's fields of interest are classic philosophical problems such as logic and formal methods, philosophy of mind , philosophy of language , epistemology , analytical (modern) philosophy, artificial intelligence , representation and memory in neural networks. In 2007 Ekberg was accepted for a graduate degree in philosophy and the planned dissertation deals with the imagination (imagination and "dynamic imagery"). Peter Ekberg has published articles in specialist journals since 2003.

His book, “Tänk Själv! - En inspirationsbok för unga filosofer ”was printed by Bonnier Carlsen Publishing in 2009, with pictures by the Swedish illustrator and author Sven Nordqvist . The book was published in several countries in 2010. The German version from Oetinger Verlag is entitled “Can I know what I know?” , The Danish version comes from ABC-Verlag (“Tænk Selv!”) And the Korean version is produced by Gimm-Young-Verlag.

Awards

Ekberg was nominated in 2010 for the “Slangbellan”, an award from the “Children's and Young People's Books” section of the Writers' Association for the best debut book in the “Children and Young People” category.
