Heinz-Peter Gasse

Heinz-Peter Gasse (born October 17, 1952 in Duisburg ) is a German SPD politician .

Heinz-Peter Gasse graduated from secondary school in 1967. From 1967 to 1970 he completed an apprenticeship as a high-voltage electrician. He received his skilled worker certificate in 1970. From 1970 to 1975 he worked as a skilled worker and was a member of the works council. In 1975 Gasse became secretary of IG Metall Duisburg for youth and vocational training; 1984 wage secretary for the iron and steel industry. From 1990 to July 2000 he was managing director of the IG Metall administration office in Duisburg. From July 10, 2000 to July 2004, he was head of the IG Metall district of North Rhine-Westphalia. Heinz Peter Gasse was appointed Labor Director of Hüttenwerke Krupp-Mannesmann in summer 2004.

Heinz-Peter Gasse has been a member of the SPD since 1972. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Duisburg sub-district executive committee of the SPD. From 2000 deputy chairman of the working group for employee issues in the SPD in the Duisburg sub-district. Gasse has been a member of IG Metall since 1967.

Starting in 2000, Heinz-Peter Gasse was a directly elected member of the 13th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, from which he resigned on August 31, 2001. In 2002 he was a member of the Commission for Modern Services on the Labor Market ( Hartz Commission ).
