Peter Gruber (writer)

Peter Gruber (* 1955 in Rottenmann , Styria ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Gruber grew up on his parents' mountain farm in Kunagrünberg near Aich in the upper Ennstal . He completed his training as a marketing specialist and worked as such until the mid-1990s. In addition, the first literary works were created (poetry, natural features, sagas, fairy tales, essays, contributions to anthologies and photo books and literary magazines, theater projects with amateur theater ensembles).

Gruber has lived as a shepherd on an alpine pasture in the Dachstein Mountains since 1996 , where he is writing his novels , which mainly deal with his home environment and are mainly devoted to the history of the Dachstein Mountains. Gruber has lived as a freelance writer and occasional copywriter in Vienna since 2005. Since 2013 several cultural dialogue trips in the countries of the Orient at the invitation of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
