Peter H. Vaupel

Peter H. Vaupel (born July 31, 1949 in Wuppertal ) is a German savings bank economist and was chairman of the board of the Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal .

Life

Vaupel did an apprenticeship as a bank clerk from 1966 and later a further education as a savings bank manager. At Stadtsparkasse he took over the management of various branches and during his career became department director of the customer center, head of the board secretariat, deputy board member and full board member. From January 1, 2000, he assumed the role of chairman of the board. In 2014 Vaupel retired, under Vaupel's management the total assets of the Stadtsparkasse increased by around 30 percent.

Vaupel is volunteer as chairman of the sponsoring association of the junior university , second chairman of the Sauerland mountain association department Wuppertal, treasurer of the association "Help for Wuppertaler in Need", the association of the friends of the Wuppertaler Bühnen, the Konzertgesellschaft Wuppertal, the city association of the Wuppertal citizens and district associations, the cardiovascular research association and as an honorary judge at the tax court in Düsseldorf.

In 2010 he received an honorary doctorate from the Department of Economics - Schumpeter School of Business and Economics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Private

Peter Vaupel is married and has two daughters, he lives in Wuppertal- Ronsdorf
