Peter Hartmann (politician, 1951)

Peter Hartmann (* 1951 ) is a Swiss politician . In 2000 Hartmann was elected to the St. Gallen Cantonal Council for the SP Canton St. Gallen . As secretary of the St. Gallen trade union federation, Hartmann made a name for himself as a financial politician. With the election of the then President of the SP parliamentary group in the Cantonal Council, Barbara Gysi, to the National Council, Hartmann was chosen as her successor. Hartmann has been President of the SP-Greens parliamentary group since the 2012 cantonal elections .
