Peter Marti (born July 12, 1952 in Langenthal ) is a former Swiss football and national team player.

After his junior years in Langenthal, Marti started his football career first with the juniors and then with the first team of BSC Young Boys . He moved to Zurich in 1972. He scored the first goal in the 1973 Cup final when FC Zurich beat Basel 2-0 after extra time in the Swiss Cup .

In the summer of 1975 Marti moved to FC Basel and coach Helmut Benthaus . He played at Basel for seven years, with interruptions; he played in the 1981/82 season for FC Aarau . With FCB he was twice Swiss champion and three times watch cup winner . In 1983 Marti finally moved to Aarau, where he also ended his football career.

Peter Marti played six times for the Swiss national team .
