Peter Morales

Peter Morales (born 20th century in San Antonio , Texas ) is a pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and the eighth elected president of the UUA since 2009.

Life

Morales attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton , California, where he studied history and sociology and graduated in 1967. He then worked as a teacher in California for three years and then moved to Canada . At the age of 26 he returned to the United States and studied American Studies at the University of Kansas . After semesters abroad in Spain, he went to Oregon, where he had been church active in the UUA since the 1980s. He graduated in Christian theology in 1999 and was a pastor at the Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden , Colorado . In 2009 Morales was elected the eighth President of the UUA. He is the successor to William Sinkford . Morales currently lives in Boston , Massachusetts . He is married and has a daughter.
