William Sinkford

William Sinkford (* 1946 in San Francisco ) is a pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and was the seventh elected president of the UUA from 2001 to 2009. Sinkford lives in Boston , Massachusetts . He is married and has two children.

Sinkford attended Harvard University , where he graduated cum laude in 1968 with a degree in theology. In 1995 he received the M. Div. from the Starr King School for the Ministry . In 2002, Sinkford received the Doctor of Humanae Letters, Honoris Causa from Tufts University .

In 2009 Peter Morales was elected to succeed Sinkford as President of the UUA.
