Peter Nelson (pianist)
Peter Nelson (* 1956 ) is a pianist and university professor of American origin who lives in Germany .
Life
Nelson comes from Boston , where he also began his musical training. He then studied at Oberlin College in Ohio and at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .
The main focus of his performance is song accompaniment . He was initially a lecturer in song design at the Karlsruhe University of Music ; since 2003 he has been professor of song design at the Trossingen University of Music . From 2006 to 2012 he was Vice Rector and Erasmus Coordinator of the Conservatory. Together with Axel Bauni , he has organized the German Lied Academy, which has been held annually since 2009 .
