Peter Nemec

Peter Nemec (* 1945 in Vienna ) is a former television presenter, author and entrepreneur.

Career

Nemec studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna and also worked as a freelancer for ORF .

Nemec hosted Die Drehscheibe for ZDF from 1976 to 1982 . On April 1, 1982, the tele-illustrated was launched as a follow-up program, which he moderated from 1982 to 1988.

Then Nemec moderated - alternating with Dorette Segschneider and, since 2004, Eva Schmidt - the 3satbörse , the first program of which was broadcast on February 3, 1989. He was also in charge of the show. After more than 1000 broadcasts, Nemec ended this activity in March 2010. Until then, he was considered to be the “longest-serving regularly appearing presenter on ZDF”.

As an author or editor, Nemec also published several non-fiction books on the investment sector during his time at 3satbörse.

Since December 22nd, 2010 Nemec has been self-employed as managing director of nemec-tv GmbH in Wiesbaden. The company specializes in the production of films, video films and television programs (brainstorming, conception and production of film and television products, as well as setting up and operating Internet television). His wife Dorette (née Segschneider) has also been the managing director since September 2017.
