Peter Nestler (politician)
Peter Nestler (* 1929 in Leipzig ) is a German journalist and cultural politician.
Life
From 1963 to 1970 Nestler was the first director of the “Berlin Artists Program” of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Then he was head of the art department in the Berlin Senate Department for Science, Research and Culture. From 1977 he was Deputy Senator for Cultural Affairs Berlin. From 1979 to 1994 he was head of the cultural department in Cologne.
Nestler lives in Berlin.
