Peter Norton Computing
Peter Norton Computing, Inc. , was a software development company founded by Peter Norton . The company was best known for several popular products, including Norton Utilities . In addition, Norton Commander , especially the MS-DOS version, has become the quasi-standard for file managers. Several clones inspired by this are still very popular today.
The company was bought by Symantec in 1990 , but several products are still sold under the old name.
