Peter Pfänder

Peter Pfänder (born February 22, 1961 ) is a Swiss cabaret artist , presenter and lecturer in corporate communications .

Life and work

Peter Pfieter grew up in Zurich above the Stadelhof. There his father ran a film production company on Olgastrasse. Half of the six siblings took up artistic professions, the other half entered the diplomatic service. One of his brothers is the Munich-based artist and photographer Werner Pfändler , another the Zurich-based photographer Beat Pfändler.

From 1986 to 1999 Pfänder worked as an editor and presenter at the Zurich broadcaster Radio Z , most recently in a leading position. At the same time, he presented various evening programs on Swiss television from 1992 to 1999 . In the Funkhaus he met the radio presenter Cony Sutter, with whom he founded the cabaret duo Sutter + PfÄNDER in the late 1990s. Since then, the two have made around 1,500 stage appearances and over 300 TV appearances. Since 2018, after the dissolution of the duo Sutter + PfÄNDER, PfÄNDER has been successfully on the road as a solo cabaret artist, in the meantime also as an actor in the role of the villain Rollins from Winnetou II at the Karl May Freilichtspiele in Engelberg

In addition, Pfänders gives courses in communication and media training. Among other things, he developed the communication theory on quantity and the UFRA syndrome and is considered the inventor of the communication formula S-Ar + Pr + I = Com . Since 2001 he has been a lecturer and examiner for media communication, rhetoric and corporate communication at management and technical colleges. In his private life he is engaged in show jumping and flying; he is married and lives near Zurich with his wife Sabine, daughter Ella and son Lio.
