Peter Schmidt (table tennis player)

Peter Schmidt is a former table tennis player from the GDR. He was three times GDR champion.

Schmidt played in the 1950s for BSG Motor Jena , with whom he won the GDR team championship in 1953/54 and 1954/55. In 1956 he won the GDR championship title in doubles with Helmut Hanschmann , after finishing second with Heinz Haupt a year earlier .
