The GR 14 - Senda del Duero (sometimes referred to as the Ruta del Duero ) is a Spanish and Portuguese long-distance hiking trail . It leads about 900 km from the source of the Duero to its mouth in the Atlantic .

The route is often poorly or not at all marked. The provincial government of Castilla y Leon has been signing the route since June 2011 . In the province of Burgos (section Langa de Duero - Pesquera ) this has largely been completed.

course

The GR 14 begins at the source of the Duero in the Picos de Urbión in the municipality of Duruelo de la Sierra in the Spanish province of Soria . The route crosses Castile and Portugal from east to west. He touches the Castilian cities of Soria, Aranda de Duero , Tordesillas , Toro and Zamora , and finally the Senda del Duero ends near Porto at the mouth of the Douro. In doing so, he crosses the well-known Ribera del Duero wine-growing region near Aranda de Duero .
