Peter Schumacher (politician)

Peter Schumacher (* 1. May 1885 in Mayen , † after 1933) was a German politician ( center ). From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament .

Life

Schumacher attended the preparatory institute , the teachers' seminar and the university. He took the first and second teacher exams, passed the secondary school teacher examination and then worked as a primary school teacher. Around 1932 he was the principal at an elementary school in Wesseling . He also worked as an editor for the Catholic magazine Pädagogische Post and was co-author of the work 1000 Questions of the Prussian elementary school teacher in office and in preparation for office . He had taken part in the First World War , was a bearer of the Iron Cross 1st class and a lieutenant in the reserve.

Schumacher was a board member of the Center Party at the local and district level as well as a council member and mayor of the municipality of Wesseling. In April 1932 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until 1933. He represented constituency 20 (Cologne-Aachen) in parliament.
