Peter Schwinghammer (born September 2, 1960 ) is a former German ski jumper .

Schwinghammer jumped his first international competition for the Four Hills Tournament in 1977/78 . In the first competition in Oberstdorf he made it into the top 20 with 18th place. This remained his highest individual placement until 1981. On December 30, 1979 he started for the first time in the newly created Ski Jumping World Cup . A year later he reached his first World Cup points with 10th place in Oberstdorf. On January 23, 1982, he jumped to 11th place in his only World Cup competition outside of the Four Hills Tournament in Thunder Bay and was thus able to end the season in 42nd place overall. Schwinghammer jumped his last World Cup on January 1st, 1984 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
