Peter Stockalper
Peter Stockalper (* around 1495 in Brig ; † before December 9, 1563 there ) was a Swiss military and politician.
He was vice captain in the Battle of Pavia (1525) , then captain in the French service. From 1532 to 1558 he was several times Kastlan von Brig and Grosskastlan des Zenden Brig .
In 1540, Peter Stockalper was a captain of 550 Valais on the side of the German city of Rottweil in the Landenberg feud .
From 1546 to 1547 and from 1551 to 1552 he was governor of the Valais .
