Peter Swoboda
Peter Swoboda (born April 13, 1937 in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg ; † May 2, 2006 ) was a professor of business administration .
biography
Swoboda studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and then became an assistant to Leopold Illetschko at the Institute for Transport Management . In 1963 he received the Cardinal Innitzer Prize . In 1964 he completed his habilitation with the work The operational adjustment as a problem of operational accounting and in the same year became a substitute for a chair at the University of Frankfurt am Main . He then took up a visiting professorship at the University of Illinois . In 1966 he returned to Europe and became professor for business taxation in Frankfurt am Main. In 1970 he followed a call to the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz . There he held the chair for industrial business administration until 1997. 1980 to 1981 he was the first President of the European Finance Association .
