Peter Walt

Peter Walt (born November 28, 1964 in Wädenswil ) is a Swiss radio presenter. Walt moderated at SRF 3 until 2016 .

career

Walt began his radio career in 1987 with the local Zurich broadcaster Radio Zürisee . In 1989 he switched to Roger Schawinski's Radio 24 . There he presented, among other things, the "Peter Walt Show" with a satirical weekly review on Saturday morning. In 1997 he switched to the national broadcaster DRS 3. Between 1998 and 2004 he presented the 80s revival show “Kosmos” on DRS 3, which could be heard on Saturday evenings. When Kosmos was tipped out of the program in 2002, numerous fans tried unsuccessfully to prevent the show from "dying". Walt could then be heard on SRF 3's daily program until July 2016. With the Sunday night he last had his own program, which was broadcast on Sunday evening between 9 p.m. and midnight. Since 2018 he hosts every Friday from 16 to 18 pm, the show Rock The Weekend at Virgin Radio Rock Switzerland . He also runs his own internet channel with Walts Welt and works as a trainer for budding radio journalists.

Private life

Peter Walt is married and lives near Zurich. He has two daughters. Walt suffers from diabetes and runs Diabetes Switzerland blog. He then regularly publishes videos about his illness.
