Peter Weinberg

Peter Weinberg (* 1946 ) is a German sports scientist .

Life

Weinberg held  a professorship for educational science, psychology and movement science at the University of Hamburg from 1977 until his retirement at the end of April 2009. From 1995 to 1997 he acted as spokesman for the sports science department.

In his scientific work, Weinberg dealt, among other things, with the subject areas of movement research, sport-science theory of action, sport as a cultural activity, teaching and learning in sport, university sport and the training of sport teachers.
