Peter Zipfel (born October 20, 1956 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German cross-country skier .

Career

Zipfel was German champion three times over 15 km (1976, 1977 and 1981). At the 1980 Winter Olympics , he started over 15 (26th place), 30 (40th) and 50 kilometers (21st). He was also part of the 4 x 10 kilometer relay, which missed a medal with fourth place. Four years later, at the Winter Games in Sarajevo , Zipfel again competed over 30 kilometers (33rd) and 50 kilometers (38th) and in the 4 x 10 kilometer relay (6th).

Personal

Peter Zipfel is the brother of Georg Zipfel , who was also a cross-country skier and took part in the 1976 Winter Olympics.
