Peter the Cat

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter the Cat (born 1950 ; died November 5, 1964 at Lord's Cricket Ground , London ) was a domestic cat that lived in Lord's Cricket Stadium in London.

Peter is the only animal listed in the well-known cricket reference work Wisden Cricketers' Almanack . The presumably male house cat can be found there under the keyword Cat, Peter (The) . Peter the Cat is also the namesake of a compilation that collects extraordinary obituaries from the same reference work.
