Peter von Segraedt

Peter von Segraedt (* 15th century in Aachen ; † November 14, 1483 ibid) was aldermen and mayor of the imperial city of Aachen .

Live and act

The son of the mayor Statz von Segraedt, senior and the Titzel von Hochkirchen as well as brother von Statz, junior and Gottschalk von Segraedt followed his father into the college of aldermen and was first mentioned as aldermen in 1460. In the years 1464, 1466/67, 1470, 1473, 1478 and 1482 Segraedt was mayor of the Free Imperial City of Aachen. In addition, Segraedt held the office of rent master both in 1458 and 1479 and has since been appointed jury master.

Around 1460, Peter von Segraedt was the owner of a house between the wool kitchen and the "Rosenburg" (later Red Castle ) named property of his brother Gerhard on the Büchel in Aachen. He was also the owner of the house op den Canel on Jakobstrasse in Aachen and the so-called Statzmühle on the Steinweg to Haaren .

Peter von Segraedt was initially married to Anna von der Hagen, a daughter of the mayor Johann von der Hagen , and then to Adelheid Overbach. He died on November 14, 1483 and found his final resting place in the Church of St. Paul in the Dominican monastery in Aachen . His daughter Bela married Johann Hoen von Cartils on January 13, 1487. With her the house op den Canel came into the possession of this family.
