Petersberg (Koblenz)

The Petersberg in Koblenz is an elevation in the Lützel district on the left side of the Moselle . It has been named after the apostle Peter since the early Middle Ages . As early as 1341 there was a vineyard here called “Sente Petersdreys”. Further names were from 1546 “uff St. Petersberg” and from 1814 “am Petersberg”. In the survey of the construction of Prussian were in the 19th century as part of Koblenz Fortress the Feste Kaiser Franz and Bubenheimer Flesche built.
