Petras Papovas

Petras Papovas (born January 25, 1947 in Mironiškis , Zarasai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

From 1954 to 1962 he studied at the Stelmužė School and in 1965 graduated from the M. Melnikaitė Middle School - Zarasai and in 1970 he studied mechanics at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1972 to 1974 he worked in the Rokiškis district and from 1974 to 1980 as an engineer at the Lietuvos veterinarijos akademija , from 1990 to 2004 member of the Seimas narys, 1996 Minister for State Administration and Local Affairs. In 1990, 2000–2003, and 2011–2015 he was a member of the council of the Zarasai district community.

From 1990 he was a member of Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija , from 2001 LSDP .
