Petre Andrei

Petre Andrei (born June 29, 1891 in Brăila , † 1940 in Iași ) was a Romanian sociologist and politician.

Andrei studied at the universities in Iasi ( Romania ) and Göttingen , where he in 1925 with a thesis on the sociological conception of knowledge doctorate was. He was professor of sociology, ethics and politics at the University of Iași and 1938/39 Romanian Minister of Education.

One of the universities in Iași is now named after Petre Andrei.
